RES. ASSIST. HALENUR EVRENDİLEK STARTED HER STUDIES AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY

Within the scope of "TÜBİTAK 2214-A International Doctoral Research Scholarship Program", one of our faculty members from the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Res. Assist. Halenur Evrendilek has started to work under the mentorship of Julie Stebbins for her doctoral thesis, new projects, and clinical experience at the Oxford Gait Analysis Laboratory of the Nuffield Department of Orthopedic, Rheumatological and Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford in England for 6 months. We congratulate our teacher for this great success and wish her continued success.

The academic staff of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation participated in “European Society for Movement Analysis in Adults and Children (ESMAC)” congress, held in Dublin, capital of Ireland, on September 19-24, 2022.

ACTIVITIES OF IKU DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY AND REHABILITATION AS A PART OF THE IKU-BAP PROJECTS

As a part of the IKU-BAP2007 coded "Next Generation Healthy Child Project-Primary Education Age" and IKU-BAP2008 coded "Next Generation Healthy Child Project-Adolescent Age" projects carried out by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (FTR) screening activities were carried out at Kültür College and Kültür 2000 College on 26-29 April 2022 and 10-11 May 2022.

Due to the pandemic, the online rehabilitation (telerehabilitation) sessions held by Istanbul Kültür University students continue.

Çınar, 3 years old children of Manolya and Kıvanç Alay couple living in İzmir, was diagnosed with DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) when he was 1 year old after routine vaccination. Unable to crawl and step, Çınar baby took her first steps after physical therapy. Çınar's treatment, which was left unfinished due to the coronavirus epidemic, continues with online rehabilitation (telerehabilitation) carried out by Istanbul Kültür University students.
