Unit Quality and Accreditation Commission

Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality and Accreditation Commission

Plans, executes, monitors, and ensures the continuous improvement of the department's quality assurance and accreditation processes in accordance with the university's quality assurance system, strategic plan, quality policy, and relevant regulations.

  1. Periodically evaluates the department's educational objectives, program outcomes, curriculum, and quality processes; submits proposals for necessary updates to the Department Headship.
  2. Plans the national and international accreditation processes of the department, carries out self-evaluation studies, and coordinates the preparation of necessary documents, data, and evidence for accreditation applications.
  3. Coordinates the preparation of the Department Internal Evaluation Report, self-evaluation reports, and other quality-related documentation, ensuring their submission to the relevant units.
  4. Monitors and evaluates performance indicators related to education-training, research-development, community service, and administrative processes, developing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  5. Ensures the evaluation of feedback received from students, alumni, academic staff, administrative staff, employers, and other external stakeholders, reflecting the results in quality improvement efforts.
  6. Plans satisfaction surveys, program evaluation surveys, and other quality activities applied in the department, analyzes the results, and presents improvement proposals to the Department Headship.
  7. Prepares meeting minutes, reports, and other official documents related to quality and accreditation processes, archives them digitally, and presents them to the Department Headship.
  8. Contributes to the planning of information, training, and awareness activities aimed at promoting a culture of quality within the department.
  9. Identifies areas open to improvement in quality processes, presents corrective and enhancing action proposals to the Department Headship, and tracks the implementation of decisions taken.
  10. Works in coordination with the University Quality Commission, Quality Coordination Office, Faculty of Health Sciences, and other relevant academic/administrative units.
  11. Fulfills other duties related to the quality and accreditation processes designated by the department.
  12. Submits all completed work as an "Annual Activity Report" to the Department Headship at the end of the relevant academic year.

Unit Promotion and Web Commission

Duties and Responsibilities of the Promotion and Web Commission

Operates to plan and execute promotional activities at national and international levels, enhancing the institutional visibility of the department.

  1. Regularly monitors the timeliness of the educational program, academic staff, course schedules, commissions, quality efforts, and announcements published on the department website.
  2. Ensures that the content of the official department website is up to date, accurate, and accessible; prepares update recommendations and coordinates their implementation with relevant units.
  3. Coordinates the preparation and timely distribution of content regarding education-training, research, scientific activities, community service, quality studies, events, announcements, and achievements of the department.
  4. Plans, organizes, and conducts departmental promotion activities aimed at prospective students, current students, alumni, and external stakeholders.
  5. Coordinates efforts to represent the department at preference/promotion days, educational fairs, career events, and similar organizations arranged by the university.
  6. Develops recommendations and contributes to content planning for the active and compliant use of the department's social media accounts in line with corporate identity guidelines.
  7. Contributes to the preparation and updating of brochures, posters, catalogs, promotional films, presentations, digital content, and other promotional materials.
  8. Regularly evaluates content across the department website, social media accounts, and other digital communication channels for accuracy, timeliness, and corporate identity compliance.
  9. Tracks national and international best practices to enhance departmental visibility and submits actionable proposals to the Department Headship.
  10. Drafts commission meeting minutes, archives them digitally, and submits them to the Department Headship.
  11. Fulfills other duties related to promotion and digital communication activities designated by the department.
  12. Submits all completed work as an "Annual Activity Report" to the Department Headship at the end of the relevant academic year.

Unit Internal/External Stakeholder Commission

Duties and Responsibilities of the Internal/External Stakeholder Commission

Operates to establish effective communication and cooperation with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of education-training, research-development, community service, and quality assurance processes.

  1. Identifies and updates internal and external stakeholders, conducting stakeholder analyses to ensure effective participation.
  2. Plans and conducts surveys, meetings, focus group discussions, and similar activities to collect feedback and suggestions from students, alumni, academic/administrative staff, employers, public institutions, private healthcare organizations, professional bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
  3. Analyzes feedback from internal and external stakeholders; prepares proposals for improving educational objectives, program outcomes, course plans, and departmental activities, submitting them to the Department Headship.
  4. Coordinates the planning of internal and external stakeholder meetings, builds meeting agendas, records decisions taken, and oversees information sharing with relevant commissions.
  5. Plans and supports activities to strengthen partnerships with public institutions, private healthcare facilities, non-governmental organizations, alumni, and other stakeholders.
  6. Ensures regular collection, reporting, and integration of stakeholder views into quality processes for use in program evaluations, self-evaluations, and accreditation processes.
  7. Tracks the evaluation of incoming suggestions, requests, and feedback; presents necessary improvement proposals to the Department Headship.
  8. Prepares meeting minutes, survey results, stakeholder meeting reports, and other relevant documents, archiving them digitally and presenting them to the Department Headship.
  9. Collaborates with other departmental commissions—primarily the Quality and Accreditation Commission—to strengthen the overall quality assurance system.
  10. Fulfills other duties related to internal and external stakeholder processes designated by the department.
  11. Submits all completed work as an "Annual Activity Report" to the Department Headship at the end of the relevant academic year.

Unit Curriculum Development and Updating Commission

Duties and Responsibilities of the Curriculum Development and Updating Commission

  1. Operates to ensure the development, updating, and continuous improvement of the educational program in accordance with national/international developments, higher education policies, healthcare service needs, and stakeholder expectations.
  2. Regularly reviews the department curriculum against the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF/TYÇ), Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ), national core training programs (ÇEP), accreditation criteria, and university educational policies.
  3. Evaluates the structural alignment between educational objectives, program outcomes, and course learning outcomes; prepares necessary updating proposals for the Department Headship.
  4. Assesses course plans, ECTS workloads, prerequisite courses, elective course pools, and course opening/closing procedures to formulate structural revision proposals.
  5. Evaluates feedback from students, alumni, academic staff, employers, and external stakeholders during curriculum development, integrating these insights into the structure of the educational program.
  6. Periodically reviews and updates the program outcomes and course-program outcome matrices.
  7. Tracks physical therapy and rehabilitation educational programs of national and international higher education institutions, evaluating best practices and generating recommendations for the department curriculum.
  8. Prepares curriculum modification proposals based on data and analysis provided by the Education Commission, complying with relevant regulations, and submits them to the relevant boards/commissions via the Department Headship.
  9. Prepares meeting minutes, curriculum evaluation reports, and related documents, archives them digitally, and presents them to the Department Headship.
  10. Fulfills other tasks related to curriculum development and program updates designated by the department, submitting all work as an "Annual Activity Report" to the Department Headship at the end of the academic year.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Education Commission

  • Operates to plan, execute, evaluate, and ensure the sustainability of ongoing educational activities throughout the academic term.
  • Monitors the execution of educational processes in accordance with university regulations, Senate decisions, educational policies, and relevant legal framework.
  • Organizes weekly class schedules, instructor assignments, and the execution of theoretical and practical courses in line with the academic calendar.
  • Tracks instructional methods alongside assessment and evaluation processes (exams, assignments, practical applications) applied during the term, developing solutions for areas needing improvement.
  • Analyzes student feedback, course evaluation surveys, and academic performance indicators related to educational processes to draft reports for quality enhancement; routes matters requiring curriculum changes to the Curriculum Commission.
  • Supports and recommends improvements for the effective use of digital learning environments, distance education applications, and educational technologies in courses.
  • Evaluates immediate issues arising within educational processes, develops solution strategies, and ensures the efficient execution of academic advising services.
  • Monitors the field application of educational activities in alignment with quality assurance and accreditation criteria.
  • Prepares meeting minutes, evaluation reports, and related documentation, archives them digitally, and submits them to the Department Headship.
  • Fulfills other educational duties designated by the department, presenting all completed work as an "Annual Activity Report" to the Department Headship at the end of the academic year.

Department Internship Coordinator: Lecturer İmge Nas

Duties:

  • Ensures the planning and execution of departmental internships.
  • Coordinates placement efforts for student internships.
  • Checks internship application documents.
  • Guides students throughout the internship process.
  • Reviews internship evaluation records.
  • Manages communication with host institutions.
  • Works toward resolving issues that arise during internship periods.
  • Prepares an annual activity report.

Department Alumni Tracking Coordinator: Lecturer İmge Nas

Duties of the Alumni Tracking Commission:

  • Keeps the alumni information system up to date.
  • Maintains continuous communication with alumni.
  • Plans alumni satisfaction surveys.
  • Tracks the employment status of graduates.
  • Integrates alumni insights into the educational program.
  • Supports career development initiatives.
  • Organizes alumni reunions and networking events.
  • Prepares an annual report.

Department Student Representative: Ceren Küçüköksüz

Duties of the Student Representative:

  • Represents students in department boards and commissions.
  • Conveys student views and recommendations to the Department Headship.
  • Facilitates direct communication between students and department management.
  • Transmits student requests regarding educational processes to the relevant units.
  • Supports student participation in academic and social events organized by the department.
  • Contributes student perspectives to quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.
